Go At Your Own Pace
Do you ever start to scroll on Instagram then start to feel like you aren’t doing enough? I have been there and honestly the feeling of inadequacy sucks, but the key to happiness is to go at your own pace. Paul says in Philippians 4:11 NLT, “Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with what I have.”
How To Travel For Work the Right Way
Traveling for work is one of my favorite perks and responsibilities of my job in advertising. In the last two and a half years, I’ve traveled to New York City, Atlanta, Columbus, St.Louis and Orlando for work. I am writing this post to share some tips and tricks for work travel that I’ve learned along the way. Keep reading to learn how to travel for work the right way.

Cannes Lions Was Life-Changing
Cannes Lions was life-changing. My agency chose me to be apart of the Cannes Can: Diversity Collective, which was started by Adrienne Smith. She wanted to see more young faces of color at Cannes Lions. Adrienne literally built the program from 5 scholars to 25 scholars in 1 year and created Inkwell Beach. That’s huge, like someone starting a T-shirt hustle out their trunk then being sold worldwide in less than a year. That’s crazy growth and I’m forever grateful to Adrienne for her perseverance, optimism, and pep talks. She empowered each Diversity Collective scholar with these words, “Don’t just talk about it, be about it.”
How to Wear a Hoodie Without Looking Basic
It feels like spring is playing peak-a-boo in Kansas City. The weather goes from 60s to 40s every other week, which means you always need a hoodie. I am particular in love with this black cheetah hoodie from My Girl Stories. It’s comfy, lightweight and goes with just about anything. I paired it with this fun houndstooth skirt and black booties.
Girl, I’m Back and I’m Better
In the famous words of Bey, “I took some time to live my life, but don’t think I’m just his little wife.” I’m so excited to start incorporating content creation back into my life. It feels like forever since I’ve had the time and energy to create amazing content. I’ve missed the freedom and joy that comes with art, so here I am back like I never left.
Cute Wedding Thank You Cards
Basic Invite is one of my favorite places to shop for custom stationary. They have over 180 custom colors and 100 fonts to choose from. Not to mention that Basic Invite offers free wedding websites and free address collection.
Adidas Track Pants x Snakeskin Boots
I let my husband style me and he crafted this “boss” look. I’ve never been a track pants lover, but I’m obsessed with how this look came out. I was comfortable and feeling myself.
The Real Reason Nobody Came to Your Event
The real reason nobody came to your event is because nobody knew it was going on. Sure, you posted the flyer a few times and asked a couple of your girls to come support, but that's not enough. You must be strategic about marketing your events to the right people at the right place at the right time. Below are 5 ways to market your next event.
MyGirlStories.com Is Live, Ladies!
I moved my t-shirt collection, My Girl Stories, to it’s own site in January because the brand was flourishing. Y’all it was flourishing all on it’s own without my face attached and that meant a lot to me. I decided to do an editorial shoot with some of my favorite creatives and brands to bring my vision for My Girl Stories to life. What do you think?
